The watercolour beauty of Esthwaite Water will enchant you, as it did Miss Potter, as will the picture perfect fell-scapes that are all about you.
Although the views are perfect from your windows, you will want to make your way uphill to appreciate the wonders of the surrounding landscape, and adjacent Claife Heights offers some great walking routes. You are a short car journey away from the magnificent Coniston Fells and also the walking and biking trails of Grisdale Forest.
