The bay windows are a real feature of this elegant holiday home, and make the most of the gorgeous views to Loughrigg and Wansfell. A rather fabulous window seat adorns the television lounge, along with a flame-effect stove, and the main living-room has a real log-burning stove for your comfort. If you are out on the hills on a crisp day, there is just nothing better to come home to!
You will certainly want to conquer the main peaks you can see from Far Nook, and both Loughrigg and Wansfell are easily accessible from Ambleside. All the variety and attractions of the ever popular town are on your doorstep, and Lake Windermere, with its famous steamers is only a stroll away. The glories of Lakeland are all around you in this premium location, just waiting to be discovered.
Your party will enjoy sprawling in the beautiful gardens when the sun shines. There is a pretty little pond and a summer-house should you need some shade or shelter, and the planting is mature, with some fine trees and shrubs. The Lake District is a place to be outdoors, and the gardens here let you be outside even while at home.
Far Nook is a stylish and practical home for eight people, with a range of decadently comfortable bedrooms and luxurious bathroom facilities. Besides the fabulous dining kitchen, two comfortable lounges and a sun-room mean there is plenty of space for your entire party to enjoy the very best of the Lake District.
Entrance: From the driveway you pass into the elegant entrance hall.
TV lounge: A cosy TV lounge, window seat, and beautiful fireplace with living-flame stove.
Living-room: A gorgeous space in which to fully relax, with a large bay window with views to the garden and a log-burning stove.
Kitchen: The generous kitchen comes with a superb range cooker offering five gas hobs and double electric oven, and is the ideal place to prepare special meals and picnics. The dining table has views out to Loughrigg through bi-fold doors and a lovely picture window facing Wansfell.
Bedroom 1: The large ground floor king-size bedroom offers a welcoming retreat at the end of the day. It comes replete with TV and DVD player and is complemented with an ensuite shower room containing a walk in rainfall shower.
W/C: An additional toilet on the ground-floor.
Sun-room: The property is bright and airy throughout but this is especially so in the generous south-facing sunroom, the ideal spot to enjoy a good book or the weekend newspapers.
A stairway leads to the first-floor.
Bedroom 2: The dual aspect king-size master bedroom, with TV/DVD player, and luxurious en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 3: A twin bedroom, with views to the garden, another excellent en-suite bathroom, plus TV/DVD facilities.
Bedroom 4: A comfortable and well-appointed double bedroom, again with TV and DVD player.
Bathroom: A sumptuous family bathroom, with full size bath and rainfall shower over.
Outside: To the front of the property, within the grounds, there is parking for three cars and an additional three cars could also be parked on the driveway if required. To the rear of the property there is a lockable shed that is available for guests to use to store mountain bikes or canoes. The gardens wrap around the south corner of the property and mature planting provides welcome privacy. With lawns, herbaceous borders, shrubs, trees, a small pond with a water feature this really is a beautiful place to sit and relax or to enjoy a BBQ on a summer's evening. A summer house provides shelter for those warm days with an occasional rain shower!
