What a place to bask in some glorious Lake District mountain scenery!
The name tells the story, because the outlook from here is mesmerising and truly panoramic. Mountain View is a first-class escape for family or friends, and if you need to rise above 'townie' life for a bit, this is just the place!

Your perfect Lakeland retreat sits in inspirational surroundings in the valley sloping up from pretty Ambleside to the high Kirkstone Pass. A narrow, leafy lane runs above the well-loved Stockghyll waterfalls, and Mountain View hugs the hillside here in idyllic seclusion. Generous windows in this all-on-one-level property, along with the prettiest of gardens, really make the most of the location, and the elegant living and dining space is just great for sitting back and gazing out onto those Lakeland fells.
Following the little lane uphill from your property, or climbing the steep road known locally as 'The Struggle' by car, takes you to the Kirkstone Pass Inn, one of the highest public houses in the country. Grab a pint here and climb Red Screes, or continue to beautiful Ullswater. There you can board the steamer for a serene lake cruise, climb Place Fell, Helvellyn, or one of the many other fabulous peaks all around you, and visit the stunning waterfalls at Aira Force. The shorter run down hill takes you to Ambleside, about a mile away, with all its many attractions, shops and fine restaurants.
Comfortable bedrooms await you on your return, and we can think of few more pleasing retreats to come home to after a day of adventures than Mountain View!
