About Ullswater

Ullswater is a stunning ‘ribbon lake’ formed with clear meltwater. At the West, Aira Force waterfall gently cascades into the crystal waters of the lake. Ullswater is crowned by the picturesque hamlet of Pooley Bridge and bordered by Glenridding Village.

Beloved by Emperors and Earls alike, the lake has seen multitudes of elegant boats and lakeside soirees. Today the Ullswater Steamers field a fleet of exquisite heritage vessels for tours across the lake. For something extra special, consider a private charter experience for you and your party.

Please contact our discreet team of customer service representatives if you are looking for private boating facilities. Some of our most luxurious lakeside properties feature their own mooring houses.
